Film Photography: Governor's Island Jazz Age Lawn Party 2011

This was our second year attending the Governor's Island Jazz Age Lawn Party and we were amazed by how much more crowded this year's event was compared to last year. We got there at 12:30, grabbed a handful of drink tickets, plopped down on our towel, and commenced people watching. Kate had the D90 and took some amazing pictures, while I had the Hasselblad 501cm and shot a couple rolls. The big Hasselblad isn't necessarily the best thing to shoot an event, but I've decided to use it as my everyday camera and made due. I loaded it with the new Kodak Portra 400 film and got more than a dozen good shots. Kate Reclining, Jazz Age Lawn Party, Governors Island
